In recent years, the automotive industry has higher and higher requirements for aluminum alloy castings, especially the compactness which has a significant impact on the leakage and mechanical properties of parts. How to improve the compactness of common aluminum alloy die castings produced by manufacturers?
The first method is to increase the pressurization pressure, shorten the time of pressurization and increase the thickness of inner gate. The aluminum alloy die-casting factory can prolong the solidification time of the gate and maintain the pressure transmission channel, so that the die-casting parts which have not completely solidified can be fully fed and compacted, and part of the influence of solidification shrinkage can be eliminated, and the microstructure will be more dense.
Method 2: properly improve the filling degree of the pressure chamber. The manufacturer suggests that the aluminum alloy liquid should account for about 60-70% of the volume of the pressure chamber.
Method 3: reduce the injection speed appropriately, especially in the slow injection stage. Aluminum alloy die-casting manufacturers found that the faster slow injection speed will draw the gas in the pressure chamber into the alloy liquid and bring it into the parts. On the contrary, the lower slow injection speed is easier to let the gas in the pressure chamber quickly exhaust, which can effectively improve the compactness of the die casting.
